A lot of backyards start the same way - dead grass, bare dirt, and a patio that just kind of sits there. The goal for this one was simple: build something the homeowner would actually want to spend time in, without creating a yard that needs constant upkeep to look good.

We handled the full landscape design from the ground up. The artificial turf runs in a smooth, curved shape through the middle of the yard - no hard corners, just clean flowing lines that give the space a polished feel. Pavers were laid across a large portion of the yard, connecting the covered patio area to the turf and tying all the zones together. The color variation in the pavers adds a lot of character without looking overdone.

Along the perimeter, we worked in river rock, decomposed granite, accent boulders, shrubs, and young trees. The plant beds follow the same curved turf edge, which keeps everything looking intentional. Low-profile landscape lighting was tucked into the beds so the yard holds up just as well after dark. It's one of those details that's easy to skip, but makes a big difference in how the finished space feels.

Turf management was a core part of this build. Artificial turf is a smart call for desert climates - no watering, no mowing, no brown patches in July. We take the installation seriously, making sure the edges are clean and the seams are tight so it looks and performs the way it should for years.

What we ended up with is a yard that works hard and looks great doing it. Every material was chosen to hold up in the heat, stay low maintenance, and look like it belongs together. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every landscape design we take on.
